IceCube in Search of Point Sources and Dark Matter

Abstract:

IceCube, the high-energy neutrino detector at South Pole, has now 50 percent of its one km^3 planned instrumented volume
in operation. In this talk, I will present the latest results for neutrino point sources searches in the Northern sky
as well as the latest results on searches for WIMP dark matter annihilation from accumulations in the Sun and the Earth.
I will also describe a deep low-energy extension to IceCube, named Deep Core, to be built in the next 15 months and its
expected physics reach for dark matter and point sources searches.
