Abstract:
The DAMA/LIBRA collaboration recently posted two papers on the archive ( astro-ph/08042741, 08042738). One describes the apparatus and the second presents evidence for a positive detection of dark matter by demonstrating an annual modulation at very high statistical significance. Other confirming evidence is also presented. This talk is a real journal club where I will present some insights gleaned from a careful reading of these two papers and a simple simulation to reproduce several of the plots presented.
