The Center for Underground Physics (CUP) is a research division selected in 2013 by Institute for Basic Science (IBS), a recently formed science belt in Korea. IBS's primary goal is to promote long-term fundamental research. CUP's main goals include performing the AMoRE (Advanced Mo-based Rare process Experiment) neutrinoless double beta decay experiment and the KIMS (Korea Invisible Mass Search) dark matter experiment, and building a new underground lab at Samcheock. In this seminar, CUP activities as well as the current status and the future plan for these experiments will be discussed.
