Abstract:
The EXO collaboration is pursuing a diverse program to search for neutrinoless double beta decay now, while developing the discovery tools for tomorrow.
In this seminar I will review the status of the first stage of EXO, EXO-200, a liquid xenon detector employing 136Xe that will soon be taking data at WIPP. I will also discuss the R&D in progress on gas phase detectors and on the tagging of the final state Ba atom both from liquid and gas phase. Finally
I will tie all this together.
