Abstract:
The author set out to make a documentary about the research that has occurred in the wake of the Chernobyl Disaster. The project is currently in the video editing stage. This presentation is not about the documentary, but about the findings of the author. There will be a brief synopsis of the Chernobyl accident discussing what actually happened (no more guessing with cold war secrecy), how scientists set out to deal with the problem, and what the findings have been thus far. Particular focus will be given to the dosimetric equipment and methods used.
